On-going expansion of the Providence Hospital in Anchorage has created a need for medical office space in close proximity to the hospital campus. Working with a private developer and general contractor on this design-build project, the kpb design team produced a three-story office building to house several medical groups. The building core was completed first, while build-outs to suit individual clients followed. The Orthopedic Physicians of Anchorage occupies the entire third floor, while the other floors house a physical therapy suite, a small cafe and a pharmacy.

The building is a steel braced frame structure with concrete floor slabs. The exterior finish is primarily insulated metal panels with accents of granite stone tiles at the first floor level and with one area of the first floor exterior walls finished with a synthetic exterior finish system. The large window offers ample natural sunlight into the common areas and offices.

Originally, the building was designed to include the Physical Therapy Program, a Cardiac/ Pulmonary Program, Diabetes Program, Pulmonary Program, Neurodiagnostics Program, and a Sleep Center Program.  The Sleep Center was designed for the second floor but never built.
