Fueled by a passion for food and cooking, this client had a vision to fill a gap in the Anchorage retail offerings with gourmet cooking supplies and chef-led cooking classes in the adjoining space. The Dirty Apron offers classes for both children and adults and many of the supplies used can be purchased on the retail side after classes are complete.

At the beginning of design, our client came to us with a rough sketch and desired location in Midtown Anchorage. We began with and as-built of the space, and established a design style of farmhouse meets French countryside. A primary goal was to create an inviting kitchen space that felt more residential rather than commercial. Working closely with the engineers and contractors, design and construction was completed in five months.
