Designing care where people live begins with bringing healthcare closer to the communities it serves. The Providence Medical Group Clinic in Eagle River is the third clinic in a series developed by KPB Architects in partnership with Providence to decentralize care and expand access beyond the main medical campus. Located within a renovated tenant space, the clinic supports Primary Care, Urgent Care, Physical Therapy, and Behavioral Health.
Working within Providence design standards, KPB developed a flexible clinic template adaptable to a range of existing spaces. Centrally located care team zones support an on-stage/off-stage care model that improves workflow efficiency and allows providers to focus more time on patients. The interior was intentionally designed to feel welcoming rather than institutional. Warm wood finishes, natural materials, and Alaska-inspired photography create a calm environment that reflects the character of the Eagle River community.
