Throughout his career, Tamás Deák has remained hands-on and deeply passionate about building. From a young age, he told anyone who would listen that he would become an architect—long before discovering that landscape architecture was also a profession. Today, he practices both disciplines, bringing a holistic perspective to the built environment. Tamás approaches design with a practical mindset and systems-based thinking, always considering how buildings, landscapes, and people interact. By engaging directly with clients and decision-makers, he fosters open dialogue that encourages creativity and thoughtful risk-taking—an approach that consistently leads to innovative and lasting design solutions.

Tamás has contributed to numerous complex projects at KPB Architects, bringing specialized expertise in pre-development and master planning—an area of practice not commonly integrated within a generalist design firm. He is known for his commitment to delivering exceptional design quality, a dedication reflected in the many successful projects he has helped bring to completion at KPB.

In his free time, Tamás enjoys exploring the world through travel, learning, and reading, as well as engaging in creative and community-focused projects. He especially values opportunities to spend time with his college-aged children whenever he can.
